“兰州市首届高中英语写作大赛”活动于2021年1月8日在兰州市高中英语学科基地校（兰州市第五中学）圆满落下帷幕。经过初评、终评，兰州成功学校高二年级王媛老师获得优秀指导教师奖，范瑞、杨茹同学分别获得市级一等奖和二等奖。

　　据悉，为进一步深化兰州市高中英语教学改革，丰富校园文化生活，营造浓郁的学习氛围，培养学生学习英语的兴趣，提高全市高中生的英语应用能力，用英语讲好兰州故事，兰州市教育科学研究所联合兰州市高中英语学科基地校（兰州市第五中学）于2020年11月组织开展了兰州市首届写作大赛。

　　比赛通知发出后，兰州成功高中英语组积极组织学生参加比赛，本着“以赛促学，以赛促教”的原则，希望能够通过比赛去锻炼学生，同时也对学生的英语写作教学做个检测。经学校初评，选拔出优秀学生作品10篇，后提交兰州市高中英语学科基地校（兰州市第五中学）大赛组委会参加决赛。学生在作品中用英语讲述了家乡兰州的新变化、大发展，抒发了对黄河岸边俏丽明珠——家乡兰州的热爱之情。同时，英语老师也认真指导，连续几周一遍遍地给学生审稿，提建议。
　　本次比赛取得的成绩是师生共同努力的结果，也是对兰州成功高中师生英语写作教学的肯定。这份荣誉同时更是一种激励，激励同学们永远怀揣着那颗充满梦想的心去努力拼搏，去迎接一个个的挑战，让年轻释放出耀眼的光彩！

I am rather than delighted to be a native of Lanzhou to discuss this beautiful and amazing city.
With the social progress, scientific development and economic improvement, while enjoying a wonderful life, we are proud of my hometown-Lanzhou, the Yellow River passing through the provincial capital city.
In spite of visiting numerous places. I still fee like sharing something about my hometown-Lanzhou, the capital city of Gansu province. To be honest,it tums out that it was not as good as we see today. Once upon a time,undeveloped transportation, poor living environment, and low living standards.However,in our contemporary society, an increasing number of private cars, comfortable air-conditioned buses as well as convenient subway has been seen everywhere. On the other hand,with handsome brick and frame houses taking the place of old one’s. The place of decrepitude and neglect have become well-known tourist attractions during these years. Meanwhile, Lanzhou is an ancient city with a long history of thousands of years and four distinct seasons as well, which draws a number of people to appreciate its sightseeing. Finally,what is important is that Lanzhou New Area built by the state has become a integrated transportation hub with zero-transfer for passengers and seamless connection for cargo. Lanzhou is a distinctive city.
A modern city appears in front of us, bringing us to an unprecedented era, enjoying the fruits of high technology and adding wings to the economic takeoff. I hope that looking forward to the future Lanzhou can become more and more confident.

With the development of science and technology.The great changes have taken place in my hometown Lanzhou.While making us be proud and happy,my hometown Lanzhou has won the reputation of being one of the civilized cities in China.As we all expected,Everything is moving forward and making great progress.
To begin with,in recent years we could see the figures of cleaners scattered all over the city who make the hard-working efforts for the beautiful city.In order to keep the city taking on a new look,the white clouds in the blue sky.Besides, When we have an eye for the traffic flowing through the city,a new guy is playing an important role which is the tram.Not only does it use green energy but also it can reduce exhaust emissions.In addition,opening subway line 1 is more convenient and easier for all children and adults to travel and relieve the pressure of urban traffic.What is important is that the quality of people’s life much better while the numerous high buildings appearing.
As we can see,the ancient city shows its boundless vitality as much as he can,.We believe that the future of Lanzhou is more extremely beautiful.The civilized city makes it more blue,the water cleaner, the mountains more beautiful,let us work hand in hand to build a more positive harmonious home.
